We're hiring a Video Producer

Back in 2020, around the time Jack Grealish was staggering out of a lockdown sesh with one shoe on, The Upshot was born with a simple plan: to celebrate sport’s funniest stories.
Since then, we’ve made it our unhealthy obsession to report everything from Jens Lehmann’s crime spree to FIFA’s threats to sue us.
And we’ve attracted hundreds of thousands of fans who send us stories, pay to see our live shows, and ridicule our haircuts.
Now we’re hiring a Video Producer to join our team and build a massive audience.
The role
As a Video Producer, you’ll work alongside our existing producer to make full podcast episodes, clips and original videos.
You’ll take us from an award-winning podcast to a major media brand with a massive following.
And by joining an ambitious, profitable media company early on, you’ll experience the intoxicating feeling of growing an audience and launching new projects.
Responsibilities:
Filming, editing and publishing full podcast episodes.
Making podcast clips to attract new fans on social media.
Making original videos for Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.
This is a full-time role from 9am to 5pm at our office in Camden, London.
We occasionally work remotely.
Salary: £30,000 a year.
The ideal candidate is:
In the early stages of their career.
A sharp video editor who has a feel for storytelling, brevity and humour.
Aggressive about moving fast, publishing often and growing an audience.
